fujifilm xt 20

Introducing the Mirrorless Digital Camera “FUJIFILM X-T20” with a 24.3 megapixel sensor
New image processor delivering high speed AF, fast start-up and 4K video with Film Simulation modes
January 19, 2017
FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will launch the compact and lightweight FUJIFILM X-T20 in February 2017, complete with APS-C sized 24.3MP X-Trans™ CMOS III* sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine. The updated sensor and processor, along with a reworked AF algorithm, boost the camera’s startup time and AF performance, dramatically improving its ability to track moving subjects, while the tilting touchscreen LCD monitor enables users to shoot from a variety of angles with ease. The X-T20 also has enhanced video functionality and is capable of capturing 4K movies with Fujifilm’s popular Film Simulation modes. Staying true to the X Series functional design ethos, the X-T20 also combines an SLR-style viewfinder and dial-based operation

[1] Compact, lightweight body ideal for stills and video use
Taking the body styling from the highly-regarded FUJIFILM X-T10, the X-T20 adds a Video option to the Drive Dial to enable instantaneous switching from still photo shooting to the video recording mode. The Exposure Compensation Dial now has the C position for exposure compensation up to ±5 stops, while the LCD monitor uses a tilting touchscreen panel for intuitive operation at almost any angle. The X-T20 is also equipped with an Auto mode selector lever for selecting the fully-automatic Advanced SR Auto mode where the camera chooses the optimum settings for a given scene.
[2] 24.3 megapixel APS-C sized X-Trans™ CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine for outstanding image quality and high-speed response
The X-T20 features the new ACROS Film Simulation mode, while the larger phase detection AF area and updated algorithm deliver an AF speed of 0.06sec.** at fastest speed. The X-T20 also offers 5.0fps live-view shooting, a quick start-up time of 0.4sec.***, shutter time lag of 0.050sec. and shooting interval of 0.25sec.*4.
[3] AF-C Custom Settings for moving subjects
The X-T20 features AF-C Custom Settings where you can choose from five AF-C presets according to the way your chosen subject is moving. The AF algorithm has been revised for improved accuracy, resulting in a dramatic improvement when tracking a moving subject in the AF-C mode.
[4] High resolution and high definition 4K video recording
The X-T20 is capable of recording both Full HD and 4K video using the X Series’ famous Film Simulation effects. You can output recorded video to an external monitor via the HDMI port and input audio from an external microphone.
[5] 24 high-performance FUJINON X-mount lenses for ultimate versatility
Our XF lens line-up now features 24 lenses after today’s announcement of the FUJINON XF50mm F2 R WR. The very latest digital technologies have been used to develop X-mount lenses, which offer high-precision optical designs to deliver the highest possible image quality. The current line-up of lenses ranges from ultra wide-angle to super-telephoto and includes five fast aperture prime lenses. These lenses bring out the very best image quality from the X-T20. WHY USE A NEUTRAL DENSITY FILTER?

Tiffen. What does a neutral density filter do? These filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene.  They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure.  Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus. ND’s are must have filters for landscape photography, digital photographers, this neutral density filter guide will help you determine the best neutral density filter for your situation. ND filters are one of the essential digital camera filters.

IR NEUTRAL DENSITY (IRND)

Infra Red Neutral Density (IRND)

Tiffen. Is a combination of both an infrared control filter and a neutral density filter. An IRND is ideal for HD cameras, which have greater low-light sensitivity and, subsequently, an increased susceptibility to IR contamination. When using a standard neutral density filter to counter the increased light sensitivity afforded by the HD sensor, the effects of infrared pollution become more apparent. This filter combines an ND filter with a comparable IR control filter to eliminate the spill of infrared light reaching the sensor while still maintaining the extra exposure benefits of a neutral density filter.

GRADUATED
NEUTRAL DENSITY

Color Grad® (Graduated) Neutral Density

Tiffen. Often, you want to balance light intensity between two areas within a scene. This is important outdoors to allow more sky detail while properly exposing the foreground. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky, exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark, underexposed.

  • Part clear, part neutral density, with a smoothly graded transition between

BLENDER/ATTENUATOR

Blender/Attenuator

Tiffen. The Tiffen Attenuator / Blender screw-in ND filters have been designed to offer a fine degree of neutral light control attenuation on wide-angle lenses. The smooth transition across the surface of the filter is designed to aid light control within your image area for a number of purposes, including maintaining a constant exposure range across your image when you have a bright sky. This ND grad features a density strength of 1.2 which allows you to increase exposure by four stops to suit individual situations.

  • Available in ND 0.6 & ND 1.2 Densities

Neutral Density vs Polarizer

Tiffen. There are three essential filters for DSLR that should be in every photographers bag of tricks, this page explained about the importance of ND filter photography. The second essential filter is the UVP or UV Protector filter which basically protects your camera lens. The third essential camera filter is the Polarizer, like the Neutral Density there are different types of Polarizers you can learn more about them by clicking here.

In a nutshell, the difference between a Neutral Density filter and a Polarizer filter is that ND filters help prevent overexposure and can highlight a subject by making the foreground or background out of focus. While Polarizing filters reduce glare which may wash out an image, producing dramatically blue skies, polarizers will also remove glare from non-metallic surfaces, such as windows and water.

Extreme Long Exposure 10-stop ND Filters

Tiffen also makes the XLE Series filters, three extreme long exposure 10-stop Neutral Density filters; Apex, Advantix and Axent, click her for more about these.
