sigma-16mm-f-1-4-dc-dn-contemporary-lens-for-canon-rf
Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon RF

The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon RF brings a bright wide-angle perspective to Canon RF-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. Its approximately 25.6mm full-frame-equivalent field of view gives you room to capture landscapes, architecture and everyday scenes, while the f/1.4 maximum aperture supports low-light photography and creative subject separation.

For an environmental portrait, include the surroundings without losing the connection to your subject. At wider apertures, the nine-blade rounded diaphragm creates smooth background blur, helping separate people and close details from a busy scene. Stop down when you want greater depth of field for travel photographs and sweeping landscapes.

The optical construction uses 16 elements in 13 groups, designed to deliver detailed images in a practical prime-lens format. Stepping-motor autofocus supports smooth focus transitions when recording video. A minimum focusing distance of 25 cm lets you explore foreground details, with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:9.9.

The Canon RF version weighs 415 g without packaging and measures 72.2 mm in diameter by 90.3 mm in length. Its 67 mm filter thread accommodates compatible filters, and the included LH716-01 hood helps shield the front element from stray light. This is an APS-C lens, not a lens providing full-frame sensor coverage.

The lens is available at Foto Discount World in Pretoria, your authorised dealer, with a minimum 1-year warranty.
