A Short-wavelength Refractive element alongside four ED glass elements keeps the lens compact and light without compromising the imaging performance expected of an S-Line optic, so wildlife and birding photographers can handhold it through a full day in the field.
Vibration Reduction delivers up to 5.5 stops of compensation, extending to 6 stops with IBIS-equipped bodies such as the Z8 and Z9, and the multi-focus autofocus mechanism gives the continuous tracking that bird-in-flight and action work demand. With the Z TC-1.4x and TC-2.0x teleconverters, reach extends to 840mm or 1200mm with autofocus retained.
