The Rode Deadkitten Furry Windshield helps reduce wind noise when recording outdoors with compatible Rode stereo microphones. Its acoustically transparent synthetic fur minimises wind disturbance while allowing sound to reach the microphone, making it useful for location filming, outdoor interviews and ambient recordings.
The windshield is compatible with the NT4, Stereo VideoMic and Stereo VideoMic Pro. Check your exact microphone model before ordering rather than assuming compatibility with every VideoMic version. Performance depends on wind strength, placement and fit; the windshield does not guarantee wind-free recordings in every condition. The microphone is not included.
The manufacturer's datasheet specifies a net weight of 25g and product dimensions of 80 × 80 × 80mm. These are product-only measurements, not packed shipping measurements.
