The Nikon HB-38 Bayonet Lens Hood is a dedicated hood for the Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens. It shades the front of the lens from off-axis light to help reduce flare and preserve contrast when photographing close-up subjects, portraits and outdoor scenes.
The bayonet attachment fits the dedicated hood mount on the compatible lens. Match the complete lens name before ordering rather than choosing a hood by focal length alone. This listing is for the HB-38 hood only, not a lens. A lens hood does not make the lens weather-sealed or dustproof.
