The Nikon MB-D11 Battery Grip for D7000 adds a dedicated grip and familiar controls for comfortable portrait-orientation shooting. Designed for the Nikon D7000 DSLR, it helps you hold the camera vertically without reaching over the top for the shutter release.
Its vertical controls include a shutter-release button, multi selector, main and sub-command dials and an AE-L/AF-L button. There is no separate dedicated AF-ON button in the manufacturer’s control list. A control lock helps prevent unintended operation, while the magnesium alloy cover provides a durable exterior.
The grip accepts one EN-EL15 rechargeable battery in the MS-D11EN holder or six compatible AA batteries in the MS-D11 holder. Nikon lists both holders and a holder case as standard supplied accessories; batteries are sold separately. Camera settings let you choose whether the camera battery or grip batteries are used first. This is a battery pack and grip, not a battery charger.
